The origin and name of Betty-Box |
Gérard Briane and Jean-Philippe Toutut, Directors of both companies in the Tarn (one in recycling, both in project management) are responsible for the creation of Betty-Box, an original concept and environmentally winning Competition in Innovation Midi-Pyrenees in 2006. Gerard Briane first discussed in early to Jean-Philippe Toutut, probably in Portugal during a study of the recycling market in 1995, but then took them many years to go from dream to reality, the idea to realization. The project resulted in the update of the first prototype in 2006, and the definition of any strategy. The two entrepreneurs have created Sté BTI (Briane-Toutut-Ingénierie (Engineering)), St. Juéry near Albi (81), to expand.

The original name of « Betty-Box » comes from a furious "brainstorming" internal: the pronunciation of the Company « BTI » (NB: « Briane-Toutut-Ingénierie ») was born the name « Betty », we have retained for the feminine side of a machine, his image is seductive, playful and exportable ; adding « Box » has come considering that the machine is functionally a place of deposit, an inbox packaging . Well, for psychoanalysts, perhaps the fact that it's « BB » of the two designers, born after many years of trading and research, is probably not all at stranger to the final choice of name.
